CALL FOR PAPERS
AN INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON
EFL COURSE DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION WITHIN THE LMD SYSTEM
November 27th & 28th ,2011
Conference objectives
The conference aims to provide an opportunity for researchers from various educational fields from cross- disciplinary interests to fill the knowledge gap, promote research and research esteem, and the evolution of pedagogy. Our objectives are listed below:
· To assess the current situation of education in Algeria within the LMD SYSTEM
· To adopt the strategies and techniques to fit the objectives and constrains of the new system
· To research the state of the art practices and achievements in other universities
· To open up new scopes in research for teachers-researchers and student community
· To sensitize stakeholders (decision-makers, researchers teachers, students and parents) as to the seriousness of the challenges of the 21st century)
· To bridge the knowledge gap, share expertise and reactivate research partnership
Tracks
As many as seven rich and varied tracks that touch upon the proposed theme of the seminar are listed below. Therefore, short and full papers are solicited in the following and related tracks:
· Course and syllabus design orientations within the LMD system (studies and papers which examine and discuss and discuss the principles of needs analysis, choice of content and organization of the English LMD course in terms of units and credits: the content of each unit and its modules)
· Course implementation: modern techniques of teaching the four skills (studies and papers which concentrate on the phases, input and activity task types for the four skills
· Course implementation: modern techniques of teaching content subjects (lectures)
· Assessing the four skills within the LMD system (changing methods and techniques of assessment to measure the credits and units achievements)
· How to design rubrics to assess content subjects
· Affective factors of motivation, anxiety and learner autonomy (finished or in due course research about classroom dynamics which target the lowering of anxiety, motivating learners and encouraging autonomy)

Submission instructions to the participants
Authors are hereby kindly requested to submit their papers according to the following guidelines:
1. Abstracts need to be lodged online by october the 26,2011
2. Abstracts must be in english and miximum of 300 words
3. Abstract will be reviewed by a panel of the english department board of memebers and chosen using specific criteria agreed by the review panel, including relevance to the seminar theme and tracks.
4. Papers need not to contain less than ten (10) pages, nor exeed twenty (20) pages.
5. Papers must be typed in times new roman 12, and titles in times new roman 14
6. Oral presentations need not exceed 20 minutes
7. 7. Participants are kindly requested to notify their willingness to use multimedia resources.
NOTE
Organizers are not interested in theoretical issues. We need here real research of finished studies or in due course research about real cases which must state in their proposal their research target situations, hypotheses or research questions, discuss research findings and suggest solutions.
